La canción representa cierto statement, al mencionar una y otra vez: “No matter how old, how young, how sick. I mean something“ («No importa la vejez, la juventud, la enfermedad. Quiero decir algo»); tremenda crítica a la constante menospreciación que hacemos de las personas —o mujeres desde el punto de vista de Peaches— por ser muy jóvenes o muy viejas como para importar.

Peaches invitó a la estrella porno mexicana Kitten Natividad, famosa por ser pareja del director de la corriente sexploitation, Russ Meyer, y a las estrellas del burlesque Satan’s Angel, Shannon Doah y Dusty Summers para aparecer en el video. La comediante Margaret Cho también hace un cameo usando el mismo traje que ambas vistieron en “Dick in the Air”.

Divertido, ingenioso y atrevido, “I Mean Something” es un video que busca restablecer la imagen de la mujer con el atrevimiento que caracteriza a Peaches.
