Todos los que trabajamos en el mundo de la Gerontología Social hemos recurrido a Maurice Chevalier en alguna ocasión. A él se le atribuyen frases que hacen referencia al envejecimiento:
“ Envejecer no es tan malo cuando se piensa en la alternativa. ”
«Una vejez cómoda es la recompensa de una juventud bien vivida. En lugar de traernos perspectivas de tristeza y melancolía, nos traerá esperanza de juventud eterna en un mundo mejor.»
Quizá la más famosas sean éstas dos pero la que nos vuelve locos, es su inolvidable interpretación del éxito I´M GLAD I´M NOT YOUNG ANYMORE en Gigi (1958) – Vincente Minnelli. En ella aparece ingenioso, sarcástico, sonriente y orgulloso de haber dejado atrás la estupidez y la inmadurez asociada a la juventud*. ¡DISFRUTADLA!
